Is there a free AI visibility check for my website?

EasyFound · · 7 min read

TL;DR

Yes, there are free AI visibility checks for a website. You can ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google yourself, use an instant online checker or a website scanner, or request a free check from a service such as ours. Each one is a single snapshot. In our Malaysian tests, the business ChatGPT named first stayed first in only about three repeats in ten.

Yes. There are free AI visibility checks for a website, and they come in four kinds: asking the AI tools yourself, an instant online checker, a website scanner, and a free check from a service such as ours. Each one shows a single snapshot. One check on its own can't tell you how often AI names you over time.

Say you run a tuition centre in Cheras and a parent mentions she "asked ChatGPT" for one. You can see what it told her without paying. Keep one thing in mind: in our Malaysian tests, the business ChatGPT named first stayed first in only about three repeats in ten.

What free AI visibility checks are there for my website?

The free AI visibility checks for a website fall into four kinds, and each answers a different question. We offer the last kind ourselves, so read this table knowing we have an interest.

Free AI visibility checks for a website, by kind, and the limits of each (EasyFound's reading; how we read the checker pages is in Sources)
Free check What it shows you What it can't show
Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google yourself The real answer to your customer's question, today, in your language How often you're named, unless you repeat it many times
Instant online checker (type a brand or website, get a report) A quick count of mentions and cited pages, drawn from that checker's own bank of questions Your customers' own questions. The ones we looked at on 10 Oct 2026 didn't state on their pages which languages they cover
Website scanner (type a website, get a score) Whether AI crawlers are allowed into your site What an AI tool says about you. The one we looked at on 10 Oct 2026 scored crawler access, and its page didn't describe asking an AI tool a question
A service's free check, including ours What an AI tool says about your business, often with someone to talk it through The full picture. It's a small sample, and the service hopes you'll buy

The instant checkers we looked at that day gave a report without asking us to sign up. Each report is one snapshot, and so is every row above.

How do I check my AI visibility for free by hand in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google?

Check your AI visibility for free by hand by asking each AI tool your customers' questions yourself. It takes about ten minutes, and it's the closest you'll get to what a customer sees.

  1. Log out first. Use a private browser window, so your own chat history doesn't shape the answer.
  2. Ask the customer's question, not your name. Try "Can you recommend a tuition centre in Cheras? My son is in Form 5 and weak in chemistry." Our question bank for ten trades has more.
  3. Ask more than once. Three times is a rough minimum. Count how often you're named, not where.
  4. Ask in your customer's language. If parents ask in Malay or Chinese, check those separately.
  5. Repeat in Gemini and on Google. On Google, search the same question and read the AI answer at the top, if one appears.

The fuller walk-through, with what to write down, is in how to check what ChatGPT says about your business.

Why isn't one free AI visibility check enough for my website?

One free AI visibility check isn't enough because AI answers change with each ask, each tool and each language. In our Malaysian tests through each company's API:

SparkToro's study, mostly with US examples, puts it lightly: "If you don't like an answer, or your brand doesn't show up where you want it to, just ask a few more times."1 Its advice on any checker is to make sure the provider "shows their math"1.

What can't a free AI visibility check tell me about my website?

A free AI visibility check, ours included, is a one-off. A check that misses you isn't a verdict, and three things stay out of reach:

  • How often you're named. That takes the same questions asked many times, over weeks, in each tool and language.
  • What your real customers see. Their wording, location and chat history differ from any test.
  • Why, and whether it sells. A check shows what the AI said and linked. It doesn't show how it decided, or whether being named brought a customer.

A scanner score has one more gap: a readable website gets your pages considered, not chosen.

What does EasyFound's free AI visibility check cover?

EasyFound's free AI visibility check covers what ChatGPT says about your business. You see it, then go through it with us on a free call. It needs no credit card and carries no obligation. We sell AI SEO work, and the check is how we meet businesses who may later hire us.

  • Not a score. The free check doesn't give you a number.
  • Not ongoing tracking. Following all six AI tools over time is part of our paid work.
  • Not a self-serve tool. Our tracking tool is an early-access waitlist.

Which free AI visibility check should I start with for my website?

Our reading: start with the checks that ask real questions, because few names were fixed in our tests and a business can turn up in the next answer.

  1. Request EasyFound's free check. See what ChatGPT says about your business, then go through it with us on a free call.
  2. Do the ten-minute hand check above, and save the questions and answers with the date.
  3. Run a website scanner once, to make sure AI crawlers aren't blocked.
  4. Repeat the same questions next month, and ask what's behind any instant score before you trust it.

EasyFound is a founder-led AI SEO service in the Klang Valley. We check six AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) in English, Malay and Chinese, then work on the pages they read. The free check below is where that starts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if AI mentions my brand?

Ask the AI tools the question a customer would ask, not your brand name. Open a private browser window, stay logged out, and type something like 'Can you recommend a tuition centre in Cheras for Form 5 chemistry?' Ask it three times and count how often you're named. Then do the same in Gemini and on Google, and in Malay or Chinese if your customers use them.

Is a free AI visibility score accurate?

A free AI visibility score is only as good as the questions behind it. It reflects the questions, AI tools and languages that checker chose, which may not be the ones your customers use. Some free scanners score a website on whether AI crawlers can reach it, not on what an AI tool says about the business; the one we looked at on 10 Oct 2026 worked that way. Ask how a score was made before you rely on it.

How often should I check my AI visibility for free?

Once a month is a workable rhythm for a hand check, using the same questions each time so you can compare. One check is a snapshot. In EasyFound's Malaysian tests, two ChatGPT answers to the same question shared only 15% of the businesses they named. So ask each question about three times and count how often you appear.

Free checkers: on 10 October 2026 we read the public pages of three free checkers that ChatGPT cited when we asked it this article's title: two instant checkers from SEO software companies and one website scanner. We describe what those pages said on that day and haven't tested the checkers' accuracy. We don't name them, because this isn't a product review and we offer a free check ourselves. Other checkers will differ.
